Live Poker | Casino Game that’s Simpler than the Traditional Game Format

While poker is traditionally classified as a social game where multiple players compete against each other to call and raise bets against other players to win big by getting the best poker hand, live Poker in live casinos like Dubai7 are strictly player vs dealer. In live Poker games, the dealer only deals one hand for all participating players and another hand for the dealer themselves.

Poker

Because Dubai7’s live Poker games aren’t social games, these games feature a few different rules from the traditional game format. Rounds are also faster here than when playing in-person and in traditional formats found in RNG tables.

Live Poker Rules and Gameplay

All players share only a single hand and each player can make their own decisions without affecting how others play, only how many people will win and lose big, depending on their wagers. The rules are also simpler than in traditional poker games since players are only prompted to double their bet during the Flop or fold in standard variations.

Live poker

The only thing that can be complicated in this game is the hand rankings that dictate whether a certain hand is a good hand or not.

Poker Betting Rounds and Actions

A standard live Poker round will typically only have two betting rounds where they’ll place their initial stake and double the ante or fold respectively. However, some tables will still follow the traditional format of having multiple betting rounds which are in the Turn and River.

Pre-Flop

This is the first betting round and occurs before any cards are dealt. Once bets are placed in the Pre-Flop, the dealer will then deal the player’s hole cards face up and their cards face down then deal the three community cards.

Flop

During the Flop stage, players are then prompted to either play and double their ante or to fold and forfeit.

Turn

Normally, the dealer will deal the fourth community card during the Turn stage and allow players to bet again or fold. This is still present in Texas Hold’em Bonus where players must play or check. Playing places another stake equal to the ante while checking foregoes betting in this round.

River

The Turn is the final stage and is when the final community card is dealt. In standard live tables, this occurs at the same time as Turn. After the final card is dealt, the dealer reveals their cards and all bets are resolves according to poker hand rankings.

Poker Hand Rankings

A Poker hand’s ranking is the only complicated thing to remember when playing Dubai7’s live poker games. The hand rankings are the same as that of any poker game and consists of the player’s hand and three out of the five community cards to form a single hand.

The different hand rankings of poker hands are the following:

  • Royal Flush – 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of the same suit
  • Straight Flush – Five cards of the same suit in numerical order
  • Four of a Kind – Four cards of the same suit
  • Full House – a Pair and a Three of a Kind
  • Flush – five cards of the same suit
  • Straight – five cards in numerical order
  • Three of a Kind – Three cards of the same value regardless of suit
  • Two Pair – two different pairs of cards with the same value regardless of suit
  • Pair – two cards of the same rank regardless of suit
  • High Card – no matching cards to form a hand and value is based on the highest value card with Ace as highest and 2 as lowest

The dealer only usually qualifies when they have a Pair of 4s or better so players won’t have to worry about competing against another High Card since they automatically win if the dealer has a bad hand.

Live Poker Variations

Dubai7 is powered by multiple live casino providers but not a lot of providers actually have their own poker tables as they focus more on baccarat. As such, we can only provide information on Evolution Gaming’s tables.

Casino Hold’em

Casino Hold'em

Casino Hold’em is the standard poker table available with the most basic rules. The only thing that makes this game special is the availability of the Bonus bet which pays out according to a paytable based on poker hands.

  • Royal Flush – 100:1 payout
  • Straight Flush – 50:1 payout
  • Four of a Kind – 40:1 payout
  • Full House – 30:1 payout
  • Flush – 20:1 payout
  • Straight – 7:1 payout
  • Three of a Kind – 7:1 payout
  • Two Pairs – 7:1 payout
  • Pair of Aces – 7-1 payout

Bonus bet effectively increases a player’s potential payout when they win against the dealer and have a hand of at least two Aces while also paying out even if players lose against the dealer.

2 Hand Casino Hold’em

2 Hand Casino Hold'em

2 Hand Casino Hold’em is a variation of Casino Hold’em that instead features two hands to play instead of only one. This allows players to have more chances of winning when playing both hands.

Texas Hold’em Bonus

Texas Hold’em Bonus is based on the classic Texas Hold’em game. In this game, players will have multiple betting rounds as opposed to Casino Hold’em’s standard two.

Texas Hold'em Bonus

During Flop, players are opted to either play or fold and playing results in placing a bet double the Ante before the Flop cards are revealed. In Turn, players are prompted to either play or check where players stake the same amount as their Ante or forego staking before the Turn card is revealer. In River, players are prompted to either play or check before the River card is dealt.

Texas Hold’em requires players to have a substantial bankroll to be able to play and win big. This is especially the case when also opting to use the Bonus bet. This game’s Bonus bet only pays out on pairs and only takes into account the first two initial cards of both hands.

  • Pair of Aces for both Player and Dealer – 1000:1 payout
  • Pair of Aces for Player – 30:1 payout
  • Suited Ace and King – 25:1 payout
  • Suited Ace and Queen or Jack – 20:1 payout
  • Unsuited Ace and King – 15:1 payout
  • Pair of Kings or Queens, or Jacks – 10:1 payout
  • Unsuited Ace and Queen or Ace and Jack – 5:1 payout
  • Pairs of 10s to 2s – 3:1 payout

Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker

Caribbean Stud Poker differs from the Casino Hold’em format followed by most poker games by eliminating the community cards and instead dealing five cards to the player and only one face up card for the dealer and four face down cards. The dealer reveals the four cards at once after players either played or folded.

Triple Card Poker

Triple Card Poker

Triple Card Poker is, as the name suggests, a game that only uses three-card hands instead of the standard five card hands consisting of hole and community cards or Caribbean Stud Poker’s standard five-card hands without community cards.

This game plays the same as Teen Patti.

Conclusion

Live Poker in casinos like Dubai7 isn’t a social game but is still an exciting game to play that requires a lot of skill to know when to fold and play. Still, this is far easier than playing at standard poker tables where players need to keep up a poker face to have an edge against other players and get them to fold.
